Fun Ideas for Halloween in Toronto
Halloween is just around the corner. Witches and hobgoblins of all shapes and sizes are making spooktacular preparations for the big day on October 31!
Here are some of our favourite events for families that are planned in Toronto this year.
Saturday & Sunday, Oct 17, 18, 24, 25 & 31: The Howling Hootenanny at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Haunted maze, airbrush tattoos, pumpkin decorating and live music and performances. Lots of old fashioned family fun.
October 16, 23, 24, 30 & 31: Haunted Toronto Scavenger Hunts Aimed more at adults and older kids rather than the little guys, but sounds like lots of fun. Dig up the past in some of Hogtown's darkest corners, including a former insane asylum and Yorkville's mass graveyard. Beware!
Sunday, October 25: The High Park Pumpkin Float, hosted by the High Park Nature Centre, is a pumpkin carving event for the whole family. Guests carve a pumpkin, light it and then set it to sail in the wading pool at the north end of the park.
Sunday, Oct 25: In need of a little exercise? Then make a run for it in the Monster Dash 5K, 10K or the Kids Spooky Mile. This year it's being held in Sunnybrook Park and proceeds go to support WWF-Canada. Lots of goods for those who cross the finish line.
