Living in Yonge Lawrence Village
Centred on the crossroad community of Bedford Park and Yonge Street, Yonge Lawrence Village grew up around the Atkinson Brothers grocery and hardware store on the southwest corner of Yonge Steet and Bedford Park.
Today residents still love to do their shopping locally and the variety of services, independently owned stores and restaurants along Yonge Street are one of the neighbourhood’s strongest selling points. The local business association organizes regular events, including an annual fall Artwalk and summer Village Day.
Families with children are drawn to the area by the excellent public schools (John Wanless and Bedford Park) and parks, in particular Wanless Park and network of parks and trails leading from Lawrence Park down to the Blythwood Ravine and Sunnybrook Park beyond.
The Bedford Park Community Centre and George H Locke Public Library offer a wide range of activities for all ages. Two of Toronto's top golf clubs, the Rosedale Golf Club and the Don Valley Golf Club are located a few minutes away.
Commuting is a breeze as downtown is within easy reach via the Lawrence subway station on the Yonge line and Highway 401 is located immediately north of the neighbourhoood.
Our most recent listing in the neighbourhood is a contemporary home, recently constructed by one of Toronto's premier builders.
