Prettiest Neighbourhood in Toronto
Over the years we have sold literally hundreds of homes in the Cricket Club. We lived there ourselves for many years and have often been asked why this small community is so popular.
One of the reasons is the Cricket Club itself, or to give it its full name, The Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club. A popular social hub, with a busy restaurant, it offers many community activities as well as a five acre cricket pitch, world class skating programs and training, swimming, tennis, squash, lawn bowling and many other sporting activities.
The Cricket Club is the kind of community where children bicycle to school, play hockey in the quiet, tree-lined streets and neighbours shovel each other’s walkway and pick up mail and runaway garbage cans. Quiet streets and leafy backyards evoke a country feel to this quiet enclave.
A wide selection of independent stores, restaurants and cafes can be found along both Yonge Street and Avenue Road, the two major shopping arteries. The York Mills subway station is within walking distance of most homes in the neighbourhood.
